Our community is no stranger to anxiety and stress. We feel it every day. Over time we get used to it, and we learn to ignore its effects on our body.
Under stress, your nervous system loses its ability to properly regulate internal functions, negatively impacting every other system of the body. Chronic stress creates cycles of lasting harm that need to be interrupted.
The more we push self care to the wayside, the more important it becomes. Investing in stress reduction can feel frivolous, but taking care of our nervous system is how we survive.
To thrive is an act of rebellion.

No matter how you spend your time, your body feels the impact. The ache in your shoulder may seem out of nowhere but is likely a natural consequence of daily living activities.
Some such pain can be resolved through a balanced variety of different activities (and rest), but pain that persists is likely to lead to injury if left unaddressed.
Therapeutic massage not only relieves pain, but provides a space to make sense of it and develop strategies of self care.

The human body is both resilient and delicate at the same time. While the world often requires its toughness, massage is an opportunity to let your body be sensitive, to take care of the parts that feel.
Willow’s massage style is slow and steady, working with your body and not against it. For a session with lighter pressure, this keeps the work grounded and not overly energizing. For deeper work, this allows the tissues to open up in their own time to avoid pain.
Your body already knows how to take care of itself. Willow’s work merely serves to facilitate this natural process.
